As we approach the wonderful and magical season of gift giving, I cannot help but reflect on the wonderful gifts I have been the recipient of! Some of my favorites include: A Casio keyboard that played Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” when you pushed the demo button. A rock n’ roll Barbie and all her bandmates, “The Rockers,” complete with plastic guitars and a cassette tape of their music! Hey! I am a product of the ’80s!
I am certain all of us have received some fantastic gifts from our loved ones over the years. This year, why not treat yourself to a gift from The Wood Connection! Like this awesome project:
To make this perfectly Christmasy craft, you will need: wooden Hs and wooden Os in varying sizes, red paint, green paint, white paint, two box signs, white wood glue, Christmas scrapbook paper, ribbon, and holly berries. All items may be found at The Wood Connection!
1.) Trace the small and medium sized letters onto scrapbook paper. Cut them out, set them aside.
2.) Paint all your wooden pieces. I painted the small box and the medium-sized letters green. I painted the medium box and the small-sized letters white. I painted the large H and O red.
3.) Once the paint has completely dried, glue the scrapbook paper letters to the wood using white wood glue. The wood glue can be purchased at The Wood Connection. It is AAAAHH-MAZING!
4.) Use the white wood glue to attach the small and medium-sized letters to the boxes.
5.) Lastly, embellish the large H with ribbon and holly berries!
Viola! and Ho, Ho, Ho! your project is finished. I LOVE the way this one turned out. It makes my heart feel “merry and bright!”
(Note: In the very first picture, the boxes are on the left and right sides of the large letters. In the above picture, I stacked them on top of each other. I wanted to show two different ways to display the letters. Both are very cute!)
A “big-as-Santa’s-belly” THANK YOU to The Wood Connection for giving me the opportunity to guest post today. They fill my heart with holiday cheer! Be sure to visit their wonderful store. The Wood Connection has generously donated a $25 gift certificate to be given to one “Mama Leisha” reader!
